Ingo Maurer
This is the second collaboration between Ingo Maurer and Salviati, after a first version vase without foot.
In 2001, Ingo Maurer was commissioned by Salviati to develop a piece of functional art in a very limited edition of 15.
Bucato vases series
The end result was a series of 3 colors ( blue, red and grey).
The name was BUCATO, technique used in glass making to have two layers of glass combined.
Each in a 15 pc limit edition. Each piece has an inner color different that the outside. The blue design has red inside and the red design has blue inside. Both are highly glossed.
